Abnormal container transport vehicles, which we often see on the high-speed, pulling ultra wide, ultra high and ultra long box transport vehicles, are common in the field of LCL transportation because their "belly capacity" is far greater than the standard container. Requirements of new regulations

Therefore, in gb1589-2016 revised and implemented on July 26 this year, clearer requirements are put forward for tractors. For semi-trailer tractors transporting standard containers with a height of 2.896m, the saddle height shall not exceed 1.11M, and the total height of vehicles and goods shall be 4m.

Accordingly, the Ministry of communications has determined the over limit identification standard for the total height of vehicles and goods of 4 meters. Considering that it will take some time from the release and implementation of the national standard to the mass production and updating of corresponding models, and there are few low saddle tractors in the transportation market at present, in order to ensure the stability of the transportation market, the notice on regulating the law enforcement work related to the special action for the treatment of overrun and overload (hereinafter referred to as the "notice") puts forward that the inspection of trailer trains carrying standard containers focuses on whether the total mass of vehicles and goods exceeds the load limit standard, During the special action, the overall dimensions will not be checked temporarily, and the specific rectification work will be deployed separately.

It is learned from the notice that since the old models need a certain transition period, the current 9.21 new deal does not conduct routine inspection on the overall dimensions of container transport vehicles. Because of this, there are a large number of abnormal containers with ultra wide and ultra long in the market. Although the new deal suspends the treatment of this phenomenon, we should still pay attention to safety when driving. The rear end collision accidents caused by this type of vehicle are almost all inclusive of large and small vehicles.

Operation status and potential safety hazards

A few days ago, when we visited a logistics park, we found that there were many abnormal container transport vehicles parked in the park, and almost all the boxes were too long before or after. In view of this situation, we also interviewed the driver of a abnormal container transport vehicle on site to hear what he said about the current operation of this model.

The driver told us that such non-standard container transport vehicles are collectively referred to as abnormal boxes. At present, most of the people pulling such boxes are logistics fleets or transportation enterprises, as well as a small number of retail investors. His car also belongs to a logistics company. This abnormal box is uniformly ordered by the company.

In the newly implemented gb1589-2016 this year, it is stipulated that the saddle height of the tractor transporting 2.896m high standard containers shall not exceed 1.11M, so as to ensure the vehicle cargo height of 4m. In addition, their boxes are also super long backward. The length of the container skeleton is 15 meters, and the box exceeds the skeleton by 1.8 meters. According to the driver, there are not many super boxes. Many abnormal boxes are 4-5 meters beyond the skeleton.

The reason why logistics companies customize this super long abnormal box is actually the result of lax law enforcement and vicious market competition. Of course, customers hope that the larger the box, the better, and can hold more goods. Therefore, at present, the competitiveness of standard containers is not good. Most logistics companies choose abnormal boxes to improve their business volume.

The driver told us that the most important thing to pay attention to when pulling this abnormal box is to check the car. Because the box exceeds the limit, it cannot directly pass the car inspection, so many logistics companies use a crane to lift the box down and pull the skeleton that meets the standard. Therefore, the routine inspection on the road is only handled according to the limit.

The standard container is 53 feet, that is, the volume of 108 square meters. Their super length of 1.8 meters can increase the volume of 40 square meters, which is directly reflected in the profit of thousands of yuan, which is nothing compared with the fine on the road. At present, the treatment measure for abnormal container transport vehicles in most parts of China is to impose a fine of 200 yuan without overloading, but the inspection in some areas is relatively strict, and the drivers basically bypass.

The driver interviewed said that although he drives this abnormal box transport vehicle in the company, as a driver, from the perspective of safety, he very much hopes that this model can be managed. Because in the process of driving, in case of rear end collision in case of accident, no matter the cart or trolley, when facing the super long container, it is tantamount to hitting the stone with an egg.

Because most of these abnormal boxes are not equipped with imitation drilling devices at the rear of the car. If the passenger car hits the rear, because the chassis is low and the speed is too fast, it will directly drill under the container. In the face of such a huge impact, no matter how strong the car is. The driver said that if it is a truck rear end abnormal container, although many vehicles have designed the cab backward moving function at present, due to the inertia of rear end collision, the space for the cab to move backward is limited, the chassis of the truck will still drill under the front container, and the truck is also destroyed and killed.

However, from the perspective of relevant governance policies, at present, abnormal container transport vehicles are in an excessive period like 17 m 5 large plates.
